East Sussex quintet, The Longshore Drifters exist to breathe new life into old school country music. Harmony-rich duets and songcraft are at the heart of their retro-modern honky-tonk sound. Since forming the band in 2022 after a chance meeting between songwriters Michelle Miller & Mark J. Lee at a late-night Hastings Old Town picking session, they have quickly gained a reputation for passionately reinvigorating classic country sounds both on stage and in the studio. From Telecaster twang driven roof raisers to smoky 3 am heartbreak ballads The Longshore Drifters serve it all up with equal parts rhinestone swagger and ‘down home’ charm & humility, making them firm favourites among hardcore country aficionados and the honky tonk curious alike.

Miller & Lee alongside Andy Francis on bass, John Hornig on pedal steel & drummer Andy Maby, to date have released ‘The Grind’ EP and new single ‘Hurricanes & Razor Wire’, and have a full-length album coming later in 2025.. At every step showcasing a deep love and understanding of golden age honky tonk & cosmic country but never afraid to colour outside the lines.
